Each piece comes with a digital certificate that provides a detailed history of the fabric, including where it came from and the master tailor who hand-cut it.

Our goal is to create a unique and memorable experience for our customers, and to make a positive impact on the fashion industry. Each piece we make is meticulously hand-cut and sewn by a pair of artisans from start to finish.
In addition, our made-to-order model minimizes waste in the fashion supply chain and supports traditional textile production techniques. By working directly with master tailors and craftsmen, we are helping to preserve the knowledge and skills that have been passed down from generation to generation. In this way, Morni is not only a fashion platform, but also a platform for education and cultural preservation.
With this vision, I embarked on a journey to explore the world of garment production. Having worked in the supply chain space my entire career, I knew I had to start from the source . So I started visiting cotton farms, mills, humungous factories that produce at scale. All of them talked about how big their production capacity is, how fast they can deliver, and how they achieve low costs by economies of scale and automation. There was a focus on quality and standards, but there was no character to the whole process.
As I continued to travel around India, I discovered a rich history and cultural diversity in the fabrics and traditional craft of India. Whether it was the Kala Cotton of Gujarat that grew entirely on rain-fed water and used 0 chemicals, or the intricate Kantha embroidery style of Bengal, everywhere region I went to, I discovered fascinating stories about how people had been producing these clothes for centuries. There was love, attention to detail, and generational knowledge being poured into creating these products. I instantly connected with it. And as I started wearing these fabrics, I could feel this connection to nature and culture, and to myself.
That was my Aha! moment! I found my path in the world of fashion. A path that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, supply chain transparency with radical self-expression, my Eastern roots with my Western branches.
I collaborated with my mother to create Morni, a subscription-based platform that connects people with the production resources they need to bring their fashion visions to life. A platform that transforms the way we consume pro-sume fashion.
Our Story
As a lover of fashion and self-expression, I was always searching for clothing that would accurately reflect my personal values and interests. Unfortunately, most of the options I found online were limited to standard factory produced t-shirts and hoodies where I could print some designs in limited ways. I wanted to create something from scratch, something that had a little bit of me in it, at reasonable prices.
That all changed when I started working with my mother, who runs a small design and production studio In Faridabad, India. With her help, I was able to turn my visions into reality and create custom pieces that truly reflected my unique style and interests. Whether it was a button-down shirt with hand embroidered mushroom art, or a unique outfit for Burning Man that reflected the fusion of LA and India Hardik, I found a sense of pride and self expression in my custom-made clothing. I envisioned a world where this access to clothing production is democratized: available to all, not limited just to brands and manufacturers.
